STEPS OF THE PROCESS

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

Starting from a sketch, a physical or a 3D model, our team of artisans, modelers and designers works alongside the artist supporting him at all stages. We are able to create 3D models of the project and place them within a rendered environment. From the idea to the development of the sculptural project at all sizes and styles we take care of the refinement of the executive project by exploring the different materials options and construction methods to bring the artist’s vision to life.   

WORKSHOP

Whether a large sculpture or a small one, We provide our workshops and the possibility of work directly on your own project along-side specialized artisans at each stage of implementation. We work across our different departments by combining artisan skills with modern equipment to create unique projects.
A large equipped sculpture studio / loft is dedicated to the enlargements and the residences of the artists who want to work on their projects.

LOGISTIC SUPPORT, ON-SITE ASSEMBLY AND RESTORATION

To meet a quality service we work with our professional partners, offering technical support in the transportation, packing and installation of the project.
Our team also takes care of a consultancy service for the restoration and maintenance of the artworks. From the remediation of alloys and patina deterioration, to structural repair and partial component replacement, we take care of restoring the work to its initial condition according to the original essence of the project.

MODEL-MAKING ENLARGEMENTS AND REDUCTIONS

Depending on an artwork’s needs, we realize patterns of the projects, enlargements and reductions in clay, polystyrene, wax and resin. Starting from models, drawings and photographs we use both professional pantographs and compasses.
In line with our values of continuous updating, we have expanded our technical competences with new technologies of scanning 3D and digital printing for the production of plastic models.

MOULDING

From monumental to miniature we provide all kinds of moulds to ensure an exact replica of the model. From the traditional moulding in chalk with dowels to moulds out of silicone or resin for a remarkable lightness and durability. We also have two warehouses organized for the storage of moulds and patterns.

WAX DEPARTMENT

Our team creates wax pattern of the sculpture across different ranges of processes and waxes depending on the project’s needs and sizes.
Inside the wax department, each part of the work is retouched by hand thanks to the high level of craftsmanship. Once the positive in wax is obtained, the wax runners and nailing system is applied to ensure the integrity of the work up to the casting process.

LOST WAX CASTING PROCESS

Our foundry department is equipped with two powerful state-of-the-art kilns that can accommodate up to 13 cubic meters of moulds inside them. A fully automated heating cycle guarantees the sublimation of the wax and a homogeneous dehydration of the refractory mould for a cleaner and more compact casting.
Thanks to our skilled founders we explore the best metals for the realization of the artistic project. We cast works in bronze, white bronze, aluminum, brass, nickel silver and precious metals such as silver.

ASSEMBLY, CHISELING AND FABRICATION

Our workshops are fitted to accommodate large and small projects. A completely manual work that combines the experience and expertise of the various department makers with the use of modern equipment and machinery.
We are able to assemble together even more complex projects thanks to our advanced skills sets in chiseling, welding, assembly and quality control of the various parts that will shape up the work.
We also fabricate sculpture in bronze, brass and aluminium sheet metal as well we make structural armatures and metal bases for all sizes projects.
We employ external consultants such as engineers and geologists for the construction of armor and public or private monuments in total respect of safety.

FINISHING & PATINA

We perform any type of finishing with all the specific tools required. We work closely with the artist to identify the right finish for the project by providing a rich selection of chromatic combinations both indoor and outdoor. With the support of a highly specialized craftsman we create both hot and cold patinas on bronze, brush finishes, enameling, varnishing and mirror polishing.

OTHER MATERIALS

The continuous research and updating has led us to expand our services by introducing the processing of resin – in paste or casting- polyurethane foams and other materials. The main advantages obtained are the lightness, the speed of production and the chromatic possibilities given by the use of special paints.
