THE BLUE BANANA

The artist Giuseppe Veneziano collaborated with the Versilian Artistic Foundry for the creation of some of the works of the solo exhibition “The Blue Banana” which was held in Piazza Duomo and in the historic center of Pietrasanta for the whole summer of 2021.
The Foundry worked closely with the artist at every stage, from the model to the waxes to the painting and installation. Made of varnished cast bronze and resin, the six sculptures, life-size some of them in a scale of 1.5: 1, are based on a POP allegory of figures linked to the collective imagination, personalities of the news and historical characters that Veneziano connects through elements contrasting to create new visual associations.
